CIF Safety Week Day 5 – Managing Hazardous Energies

We reached the final day of the Construction Industry Federation (CIF) Construction Safety Week 2021. Day five’s theme is Managing Hazardous Energies.

According to ESB Networks, there were over 485 incidents involving cable strikes and accidental contact with overhead power lines in 2020, and many hundreds more of near misses. We recognise the need as an employer, to ensure our employees are always aware of the potential risk associated with managing hazardous energies and the correct procedures when doing do so.

As the week draws to a close, we would like to thank our staff for their contribution to making our sites a safe place. Well done to all for making this a successful Construction Safety Week!
